Methodology

An effective IS planning process must be guided by a proven methodology to ensure that the final plan is linked to the organization and has organization-wide buy-in. Our proposed methodology “Six P” has been successfully used in several IT planning projects for large and medium size organization. The six “Ps” provide a framework for identifying the key business and technology drivers, assessing the condition and capabilities of the current IS environments, quantifying the preparedness levels for both IS and business environments, and a process for developing a series of balanced action programs to meet the challenges of a changing business environment.
